ROBERT SMITH

"The leap between the sacred and profane is as thin as fishing line;

and is part of the mystery on this river of life..."

MY STORY

Robert Edward Smith has fly-fished the Black River since he was ten years old. After a thirteen-month tour of duty in the US Army in South Korea, he returned to the river and claims that he suffered through an intense emotional encounter. He lives in Michigan with his wife, Carol, and their two cats, Dixie and Duffy. Robert has published short stories in literary journals, but Rapture River is his debut novel.

Man’s best friend on a spring day in the country. His story follows Molly, an 85-pound Labrador Retriever, and her 89-year old master Ted, guiding two young lovers through a Michigan outback tale of love, mystery, and new beginnings.
